Processing and treatment

The number of possible application situations for fasteners is so great that not all fastening problems can be solved using normed and standardized parts. They often require special individual solutions tailored to the intended purpose in each case. These must not always be individually-manufactured special and/or designed components, however; making subsequent alterations to tried-and-tested articles will often suffice.

Subsequent coating or treatment of the material surfaces can also be necessary for a wide variety of reasons: for easier machining, to improve the surfaces‘ protection against corrosion, for screw/bolt locking or simply to enhance the surfaces‘ appearance.
